"Photography pulls all the elements of my artistic love together."
Jennifer's education:
Homeschooled: "Being homeschooled has given me a very hands on approach to everything I've learned and developed through the years. It's given me a strong basis to be able to adapt to most any environment."
Travel: "My travels have included 40 of the 50 States, and 3 other countries, each time giving me a new and broad perspective on different people and cultures."
Rocky Mountain School of Photography: "A beautifully designed curriculum photography program, that gave me the opportunity to learn under many renowned nationwide photographers.”
In her own words:
“My inspiration in photography began when I was 15 having bought my very first disposable film camera.
"As a romantic, my love is wedding photography exclusively, capturing the most loving intimate moments between two people, and making sure they walk away with their images knowing they captured who they are."
['ro·man·tic': adj. Adventurous, charming, dreamy, extravagant, loving, poetic, passionate, tender, visionary.]
"All I know is I love people, and photographing them allows me to bring out all their different perspectives.
“I've always been an artist at heart, designing whatever I can in graphic design and photography: calendars, album design, framing, decorating, scanning, web design, writing, drawing (attempting to), always trying to capture the essence of beauty and love in life.
“Very simply photographing is a new experience every session. You can see this in my images, each moment is unique. A wedding picture isn’t just a wedding picture. It’s a real moment. It takes a combination of my heart, mind and soul to fully comprehend who the artist is in me. Even still I find myself so unconscious of the meaning behind my certain passions. When I see certain scenes, sometimes it’s certain colors, a certain idea, or beautiful lighting that inspires the moment captured.
“I make it open to anyone to know that I genuinely believe in life, love and dreams. My inspiration is found in the eyes of the people I photograph. Learning about them, their story, and capturing their special moments - this is my passion. It is my way of painting on a canvas.
“Life is so full of amazement - with only one to live. When we look back on the years behind us - I want those moments captured. That is my passion - keeping those moments alive for years to come, making them beautiful, and timeless.
['pas-sion': n. dedication, fire, intensity, joy, sentiment, spirit, zeal]
